Alternative health and traditional Christianity

My Story

Where to begin?  I started life a rather sick person.  Physically, I began lost the years between age 3 and 12 to continual illnesses, doctors, and hospitals.  I did most of my second grade in bed.  I’m sure we’ll get into the details of  this in other posts, but suffice it to say my body never supported my hopes and dreams.  By the time I was having children at age 30-40 my health was gone.  I truly didn’t know if I would get to see my children grown.  Then I began to see the cycle of illness that I had given them, begin in each of my 5 children.  Though I was as traditional medicine as a nurse could be, I started the journey to find how to be well.  10 years later, I find myself on the outside of traditional medicine learning to heal my body nutritionally and melding my orthodox Christian walk with God with alternative therapies.

Back to the beginning….Spiritually I grew up in church, but not in Christ.  I knew nothing of the Savior’s work on my behalf or of His amazing glory.  I feared Him, but did not love Him.  I became a Christian at age 19 and began to fight for a new life and mind – for the first 6 years of that walk, I was trying to be my best and earn His forgiveness.  For the last 24 I have been trying to boast only in my weaknesses and enjoy His work as my only means of forgiveness. Somehow, He has taken our family through homeschooling, financial crisis, multiple moves, graduation and college for our oldest, high level music and dance talent, and getting well – He is truly a perfect Shepherd.  The Word of God is my source of wisdom and strength and has never left me without all I need – IF I rely on it and Him (Father, Son and Spirit).

I hope to get to know you well .  Thank you for coming today.
